Our Beliefs

Colorado Ridge maybe contemporary, casual, creative and cinematic, but it is definitely a Christian church.  These are the 7 things we believe!

Seven Essential Beliefs

  1. GOD IS THE CREATOR & JESUS IS GOD.
    • God exists in 3 co-equal persons (Father, Son, & Holy spirit)
    • Jesus took on human form to seek and save lost people.
    • He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
    • He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.
    • He will return someday to reign as King & Lord.
  2. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS PRESENT IN THE WORLD.
    • He is co-equal with the Father and Son.
    • He makes people aware of their fallen state.
    • He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.
    • He provides power, understanding, and guidance.
  3. THE BIBLE IS THE INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD.
    • It is the supreme source of truth.
    • Written by the Holy Spirit through human authors.
    • It stands the tests of history, science and authentication.
  4. PEOPLE ARE THE SUPREME OBJECT OF GOD's LOVE.
    • They are made in the spiritual image of God.
    • But they are separated from God's love because of their sin.
  5. EACH PERSON NEEDS TO BE RESCUED BY JESUS.
    • Our personal sin keeps us forever separated from God.
    • We can't make up for our sin by religious behavior, good works or a self improvement plan.
    • Jesus shed His blood on the cross as the sole basis for forgiveness.
    • Salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection as the satisfactory payment for sin.
    • True believers can never lose their salvation.
  6. PEOPLE HAVE A CHANCE TO BE IN HEAVEN WITH GOD.
    • We can exist eternally with God in Heaven because we've received Christ by trusting in His forgiveness.
    • Or, we live eternally separated from God because we deny His offer of forgiveness.
  7. THE CHURCH IS THE HOPE OF THE WORLD.
    • The church is headed by Jesus Christ.
    • Its members are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ.
    • The church is to glorify God by loving Him, serving others, and by making Him known in the world.
