The On Ramp

Early Childhood Ministry

Our main goal in the On Ramp is to give these little ones a great first impression of their loving Heavenly Father. We do this by having separate age appropriate rooms for Infants through 17 months, 18months through 2years, and Pre-Kindergarten. These rooms provide a safe, sanitary environment where parents can feel at ease dropping off their kids while they attend the service.

Infants through 17 months

In our Infants and Ones rooms volunteers spend the day holding little ones, playing with them, and making sure they are safe and enjoying themselves. We seek to have consistent volunteers in these rooms so that both parents and children will see a familiar face each time they come. This helps little ones feel more comfortable in our ministry.

18 months through Pre-Kindergarten

In the 18month through pre-k rooms we begin to teach our kids about God through Bible stories, music, crafts and of course play time. These rooms are more structured than the previous 2 rooms so that we can begin to teach some bottom line concepts that we want all of these kids to know. These concepts are:
  1. God Made Me.
  2. God Loves Me.
  3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Security Tags

In all of our Creation Station rooms a volunteer helps check kids into the room by signing them in on a sign in sheet and giving the parent and child a matching security tag. The numbers on these tags allow volunteers to call parents out of the service if their child becomes distressed or needs their parent for some reason. These tags also serve as a secure way to check kids out to the proper people at the end of each service.
